Introducing Nimbus FireMate, which has now been integrated for the monitoring of fire alarm systems, and providing organisations, buildings and sites to lower the risk of fire, remain compliant and improve response times.
What is Nimbus FireMate?
A cloud-based fire alarm management solution, Nimbus FireMate provides 24/7 remote visibility of an organisation’s entire portfolio of fire protection systems, no matter their panel type or manufacturer. It, therefore, allows for full collation and management of all assets.
Now that Nimbus FireMate is integrated for fire safety system monitoring, it means that sites can access detailed alarm event information on the specific part of the system that triggered the alarm, such as a call point, smoke detector or heat detector. When programmed into the fire panel, the location of the activated device can also be seen so as to know where a fire was first detected.
How is RMS using Nimbus FireMate?
The information provided by the Nimbus FireMate solution, together with a fire schematic allows us at RMS to provide key holders and the fire brigade or other emergency services with the information they need of where they need to go before they get to the site. This leads to better response times and therefore decreased risk of building damage and mortality or injury of persons. Due to Nimbus FireMate providing real-time information, it’s possible to see if any other detectors that trigger during an incident, which would indicate the spreading of fire, again helping to save lives.
Nimbus FireMate works alongside a traditional dual-path communicator. It is not a replacement for these services, but rather an accompaniment service to better protect your sites.
